A rumour reached Yemen that Baron Rothschild bought land in Eretz Yisrael for Jews in the Diaspora. In 1882, a group of Yemenite Jews decided to travel to Eretz Yisrael, with all the difficulty involved. Yitzchak, a delightful lad, and his parents join the Yemenite Jews’ collective journey. On the way, the Jews’ money is stolen, and Yitzchak attempts to aid in its return. A case of ship’s mistaken identity causes Yitzchak to sail to another place, alone and frightened.
