ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Rabbi Yehoshua Pfeffer was born and educated in London. After completing his high school studies, he chose to take up Talmud studies in Israel, and was soon impassioned by yeshiva life in Jerusalem. After spending several years at Yeshivas Beis Yisrael, he moved on to the Mir Yeshiva, where he remained until his marriage. Since then he has focused his studies predominantly on areas of Torah monetary law. Rabbi Pfeffer has served as a Dayan (Rabbinical judge) on a Jerusalem monetary court, and is currently the rabbi and modulator of an international halachah website. He has written numerous books and articles on different subjects of Jewish law and Jewish thought, lectures extensively for various forums in Israel and abroad, and has taught at several yeshivot, including “Chedvat Ha-Torah.” He received his rabbinic ordination in 2007, and holds a degree in law from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He resides in Jerusalem with his wife and seven children.
