Description
Just a week before his bar mitzvah, Uzi’s kehillah flees its home in Tunisia on a moment’s notice. At the last second, Uzi discovers that their rare and ancient sefer Torah was stolen from the shul by local bandits! Young, but bold, Uzi finds himself with two choices: to escape to safety with the rest, or to remain, on a one-man (or one-kid) mission to rescue the sefer Torah from the depths of Tunisia’s treacherous criminal world. Clearly this book would have been a lot shorter if he had chosen the first option. Uzi stays behind and faces the danger, in order to restore the sefer to its rightful owners. Just one problem: He has to save the Torah before someone saves him!
