During World War I, so many children in Jerusalem were orphaned that a new home had to be created for them. Rabbi Avraham Y. Blumenthal created that home. It was called the Zion Orphanage. Rabbi Blumenthal became the children’s father. He cared for them day and night. He saved them from starvation and taught them to be good Jews. This is his story. It is the story of a man who became a father to hundreds.
