Description

A wandering group of gypsies arrives in the Hungarian village of Ciko. They run a traveling circus, sell interesting objects they carve out of wood, and aract the aention of a boy whom they call Shool. Shauli, who has a hard time understanding the classes taught by his rebbi, Reb Shaya the shochet, asks a gypsy boy to teach him woodcarving. And that’s when things start to get complicated… Why does Shauli daven for a sick tiger? Can his good friend Yossele, who dislikes davening, send him tefillos to help him out from afar? And above all, how will Shauli find his way back home? Hold on tight as these boys from the past struggle with very familiar challenges, and journey from frustration to hope and success.
