The month of Elul is a time for us to prepare for this special trial, which takes place on Rosh Hashanah. For most of us, the trial continues throughout the Aseres Yemei Teshuvah, and then on Yom Kippur our aveiros are forgiven and the verdict from the trial is sealed. I want to invite you on an imaginary journey.
